PRESS RELEASE
Maui Couple Interviewed by Larry King at Wailea Palms Resort
by Rick Chatenever, Maui News
February 12, 2015
Today there was magic in the air as Larry King agreed to a private interview of Maui’s latest couple Brad and Lori Pollina at the Wailea Palms Resort. Normally Larry only does interviews at his studio, but the Pollinas wanted to keep the interview Private and let King experience the magic of Aloha in a more intimate, private setting.
When I first met the Pollinas by the pool at Wailea Palms Resort last week, they enlisted my help in keeping the meeting private in exchange for being able to sit in on the interview. Of course I jumped at the chance. The Pollinas said that they wanted the interview kept private to keep out all the trappings celebrities normally have to deal with. Brad started first.
“Thanks for coming to our magical Island Larry. We know you are a very busy man and are honored by your presence. ”
“The pleasure’s all mine, ” King said. “I’ve done a lot of interviews with many different types of people. But when I heard your story, I knew there was something different. Something magical. Tell me more!”
“Well, I hardly know where to begin,” Brad said with a contented sigh and a slight smile. The sun was shining warmly as the palm trees waived in the slight breeze. “so I guess I’ll begin at the beginning. We’ve been involved with Send Out cards since 2002 but have never really took the business seriously until October 2010 when we started attending an online course with Mark J. called the Master Key Master Mind Alliance. With Mark’s help, our business started to explode.”
“Yes, go on!” Larry said, spellbound as he sat back in his chase lounge chair overlooking the pristine pool surrounded by palm treas and gorgeous flowers.
“Our family took a trip in February 2011 to this magical Island at this very resort in fact,” Brad said with a knowing smile “and when we stepped off the plane in Maui for the very first time, we knew we were home!”
“Home?”
“Yes, home! We’ve read a lot about Hawaii in general and Maui in specific, and knew that there was no place like it in the world. Brad’s parents had been coming here for years during the winter months and invited us to come stay with them for a week. ” Brad’s wife Lori quipped, “The rest is history…”
“I’m not sure I follow”, Larry said. I wasn’t sure I did either.
“Well it’s like this, Larry, ” Brad said. “With Send Out Cards, we can run this business literally from anywhere in the world with an Internet connection! Here, Let me show you.”
Brad opened his laptop and brought up a web page. Together we all watched a video from the CEO and founder Kody Bateman explaining how Send Out Cards was found based upon a prompting he had over 20 years ago to say good by to his brother before leaving one day, a prompting he ignored, and his brother died the next day. After the video, Kody himself showed us how to set up an account and sending a card to whomever we wanted. Larry was intrigued.
“This looks really neat, Brad! You mean I can log in and send a card, in my handwriting and signature, and even add pictures, and the company will print it for me and send it out within 24 hours?”
“Yes, and you can even add gifts if you choose. And the beauty is that you can be doing this from ANYWHERE in the world that has an Internet connection!”
“No way!”
“Yes way! And once we really ‘got it’ and started sharing this with our friends, others started to see the value in this too.”
“Well, I’ve seen many Network Marketing companies before!” Larry Said with a scowl. “Aren’t they all the same?”
“Not at all! The beauty of SOC is that we have a product that anyone can use, and at around a dollar a card, it is priced right. I’d use the product even if I didn’t make money with it!”
“And building my Send Out Cards business has allowed us to help the people in Ecuador get clean water by using filters in their home. We give 10% of all our earnings to Franklin Graham’s organization called Samaritan’s Purse. to date we’ve given over $10,000 to the cause and plan on going to visit there ourselves next summer!”
At this point dinner was served, so we all took a break and enjoyed fresh caught butterfish and steamed shrimp along with some fresh vegies. The rest of the interview will air nationally on Larry King Live on Tuesday so stay tuned!

Brad —
With all due respect, your PR reads, to me, like an infomercial. It doesn’t reallhy convey, to me, anything much about YOU…your dreams, DMP, PPNs and so forth.
It does NOT make me want to know more about you…it would not serve to make me consider joining you in the business.
May I kindly and lovingly suggest that you spend more time on you and less on Sent-It Cards.
Blessings…and see you this evening.
Bruce

Thanks for the post. I debated about this before even posting it, thinking too that it might sound too commercial. I even let the Great Devene look at it. But in the end I decided it is really who I am and how I feel, so I left it as it is.
That was awesome Brad. I love your magical island. So, am I invited? Better yet, I will just invite myself to visit

You are always welcome anytime!
We really can’t wait to go to Maui Feb 12-19! Above my monitor at work I have a picture of a whale with the taped on phrases “Maui here we come!” and “I can be what I will to be!” . When I have a bad call, I just look at the whale and just imagine! I also look at the satelite photos of Maui when it gets slow, looking a the gorgeous beaches and the condo itself. Co-workers are getting tired of me always looking, but I can’t help myself!

Let’s have a MKMMA reunion in 2015! At only $500/night for a 2 BR condo, we should all be able to afford that by then! I’ll supply the fish!
Love your story Brad and Lori. Yes, it’s great to be able to operate your Business literally from anywhere. That’s freedom!
I like you helping Ecuador get clean water by using filters in their home. Every living being deserves good clean pure water.
I believe in you.
Thanks Wilma! That’s one of the things I love about SOC.
I just happened to be scouring around finding a worthy charity and “accidentally” found this one. I’ve worked with Billy Graham before and know his son is equally as respectable. This water project seems awesome! As cash flow comes in, I will indeed give 10% to the project!
Thanks for believing in me!
